New Feature: Loose Ends and Multiple Beginnings

Only rarely, an idea is so clear from the beginning that you know at all times which scenes belong where and which ones need to be next to each other. The more complex plot lines get, the more important it is to be able to cut threads and develop them separately before weaving them back into the original story.

In storylike, you may now very easily detach individual blocks or even whole plot lines from the story. Just delete their connection to the preceding block in the story’s map. For better overview, move the now stray block or plot line to the side a bit. And as soon as you know where it ought to be, simply draw a new line in the map in order to reintegrate it into the story.

This way, writing gets a helluva lot easier because you can put any story block at any position at any time. If you want, you can even create multiple starting points for your story.

New Feature: Easy Update of Wiki Links

The best ideas often develop while writing. As a consequence, only few wikis are already complete from the beginning: Characters, places, artifacts, and other things are added on the go, or they get better, clearer keywords.

From now, you have a button in storylike that allows you to resync individual wiki articles or whole wikis with your stories. Just navigate to a wiki, a wiki collection, or a wiki article, hit the button “Update Keywords” and choose the stories you want to resync with. Storylike will automatically scan them and adds links where they can be clearly match with (new) keywords.

So let storylike make sure all links in your stories point to the right wiki articles at all times - and put your feet up.

New Feature: Unlimited Drafts

When a story starts to form, it’s often too vague to be already shared with readers or cowriters.

For such cases, you can now create unlimited drafts for stories and wikis in storylike, even in the free basic version. They can be used to comfortably jot down ideas to new stories and wikis without having to publish them right away. Within drafts, you may use all functions as you know them from private or public stories or wikis, except exporting and sharing them with other storylikers for reading or cowriting.

To create a new draft, just click on “New Story” or “Add Wiki” and choose “Draft” in the “Access Level” section.

This way, you won’t ever lose any ideas in storylike ever again.

New Feature: New Subscriptions

Each use case for storylike has different requirements. Reading and writing published stories and wikis will always stay free; unlimited private stories and wikis need a subscription - any of which kills unwanted ads, by the way.

Now you can choose the subscription most fitting for you from a whole variety, and pay comfortably and safely using Paypal or a credit card - or a voucher if you have one. Just navigate to the main menu (≡) and click on “Upgrade”. That will take you to the subscription page which shows you up above how may private stories, wikis, and pseudonyms you still have left. Further down, choose the subscription model you need at “Available Plans”. On the following page, choose the billing cycle most comfortable for you and your preferred payment method, and you’re all set to keep on working without limits.

New are plans for larger groups, e.g. roleplay campaigns with many members or enterprise environments, as well as plans for educational facilities, e.g. for use in the context of writing workshops in schools and universities.
