Thanks, DreieichCon team!

What a weekend!

Our first DreieichCon was just awesome! Lots of interesting talks, extremely precious feedback, and enormous enthusiasm is what we've been gifted with during this con. For that, we'd like to thank DreieichCon team bigly! You were always there when we needed you and you stayed super friendly and ready to help despite the coordinational difficulties you had to face due to the wide-spread locations. We had a blast and we're sure this wasn't our last DreieichCon. So, thank you!

Happy New Year 2020!

What a year it's been!

Six months ago, we've released storylike and showed it around at four fairs, only to be met everywhere with incredibly positive, motivating feedback. For that, we'd like to take the chance on this last day of the old year to say thank you. Thank you for lifting us up, for sharing your experiences, for giving us so much new input on how to make storylike even better.

Starting a new platform is not an easy task, making your trust and engagement for storylike even more valuable to us. Currently, there's so much going on on storylike: New novels, conventions, theater plays, fan fiction, web comics, and descriptions of fictional worlds – this only strengthens our believe that things work best with good collaboration and motivation. And motivation we got aplenty through your feedback and reactions on fairs, over the social networks and in personal talks.

We've already planned some of our next moves for 2020 – most prominently Leipziger Buchmesse and Weltenwerker Konvent in March 2020, but FeenCon and DreieichCon will also not have seen the last of us. Already looking forward so much to meeting you there! Let's all have a fantastic 2020!

New Feature: Locate

New year, new chances! In the past few weeks, we’ve been working very hard in order to present you with a new version of storylike today that brings loads of new features. We’ll present these features to you bit by bit.

Today: New feature “locate”

As author, you need good overview about which characters, creatures, artifacts and the like appear in which stories and story lines.

Now, you can find out very easily in which stories a Wiki article is used: Just click the respective Wiki article’s button “Locate”. After choosing a story, the story’s map shows you exactly where the article is mentioned. In addition, you can switch to other Wiki articles to see where they are mentioned in the story by clicking the article’s icon besides the info symbol.

With this feature, you can keep an author’s overview of where which Wiki article is used. This improves and simplifies your story’s consistency significantly, especially if you collaborate with other authors. Your readers, on the other hand, will be able to follow their favourite characters' plotlines even easier.

New Feature: Hidden Story Paths

Secret intrigues, scenes not meant to be for everybody, or shortcuts in a story only available to a chosen few? All that’s possible now with storylike.

You can share single plot lines with individual storylikers. Specify in a storyblock’s settings (click “Edit” and then “More”) the storylikers you want to be able to read it - indepent of all other settings of the story. In the text and the map, the respective plot lines will stay invisible to all other storylikers.

With hidden story paths, you can add a special, thrilling level to your stories and turn them into even better adventures that each and every one of your readers and co-writers may experience on their own.
